CGC Exercise 22 STOP THE DOG

During the May CGC Committee meeting, a report was received from a CGC Assessor indicating that the clarity of "Exercise 22 STOP THE DOG" was commented upon in that there was no time indicated for how long the dog should remain stopped before being approached by the handler.

Following considerable discussion, it was agreed that the dog should be expected to remain in the stopped position for a period of Thirty Seconds prior to the hander approaching their dog.

When able to be done, the CGC Manual shall be amended accordingly.
In the interim, this endorsement of applied time shall be placed in a "Memo/Notices" Section of the CGC Webpage, and it is asked that ALL CGC Assessors apply this ruling as part of their assessing of Exercise 22.
