Jervois Kennels - NZ Registered Breeders of BRITTANY

Jervois Kennels is a small domestic kennel committed to enhancing the American Brittany breed in New Zealand.  This is achieved by selective breeding of quality Brittany pups. The wellbeing, health, and happiness of our puppies and our dogs is vital.   

Our Brittany come from Champion backgrounds, and their pups are strong, energetic and clever dogs capable of great focus when training, but also love the company of their people,  so they make loyal, playful and fun loving family dogs too.  

Birdy, the dam, (Nia of AmmaraLodge) and Zeke, the sire, (Japiha Name your Odds) are loved family members that live inside.  We carefully raise puppies inside the home, with mother and pups under observation, helping to ensure they are happy, calm, and comfortable.  As the pups grow they become confident and well handled.  They also get introduced to usual household routines, and accustomed to living with people.

We like to carefully introduce the puppies to new and stimulating experiences so that they have positive interactions and will love people and other animals.  Our goal is for our pups to be loving and confident puppies, who want to be rewarded, and be good learners for their new owners.   Brittany grow up graceful, strong, and athletic. They love plenty of exercise, and plenty interaction with humans, playing and learning.  They are clever and intuitive and perform best with calm, consistent, encouragement because Brittany have a strong drive to learn.
