The Nelson Dog Training Club meets and has Club rooms at the Hope Domain, Main Road, Hope, Nelson. There are over 100 club members who train and compete with their dogs. Disciplines include Agility, Obedience, Rally O and Canine Good Citizen.  Training for the different disciplines occurs on some weeknight evenings and Saturday mornings. The club runs two Championship Shows a year, one on Kings Birthday weekend in June and the other in September. Ribbon Trials are run throughout the year in March, April, July and August. The club is run by a Management Committee made up of 4 Executive and 7 committee members.
