Tasman Districts Gundog Society.


TDGS began as a branch of the Southern Gundog Society, became Seddon Districts Gundog Society and operated under this name for some years before being renamed Tasman District Gundog Society to better reflect the Societies base in Nelson. Sunny Nelson has excellent areas for gundog training with wide gravel riverbeds and scrubby edges. Sadly our Societies membership has declined and we would like to welcome new members who will enjoy participating in gun dog activities. Our subs are only $10 or $15 for family membership (at same address). We produce a newsletter which can be emailed or posted.

Upcoming Shows and Events

Championship dog shows in conjunction with Nelson District Kennel Assn in January and with Nelson Ladies KA in April. Championship Field Trials locally held, generally  in March each year.

Club Activities

The society holds 2 annual Championship breed shows, 1 annual Field Trial Championship.
Canine Good Citizen and scent classes are held by NDKA on each Sunday afternoon at A&P Park.
