About Me

I have bred owned and shown pointers since 1980 breeding under the Robwyn prefix.  When I was a boy I came to know the Pointer as my father had a pointer as a hunting companion dog and we would frequently spend a day out shooting together. I acquired my first Pointer from the daughter of my Neighbor (Carol Craig – Tuke Glen Pointers) and since that time have had a close association with the Breed. I have bred and owned many wonderful Pointers and have bred or owned 14 different All Breeds Best in Show winners including the BIS at the only Pointer National held in Australia in 1988 and the BIS at the New Zealand National Dog Show in 2005. I have bred numerous Show Champions and have exported a number of dogs who gained their titles in the USA, UK and Australia. I exported two pointers to the UK, both won BOB at Crufts (2005 & 2012) and both placed in the group placings. I personally handled NZ & Aust & Sh Ch Robwyn Dreams are Free at Crufts to BOB & Group 4. I spent many years as an active Field Trial enthusiast and was a regular competitor at Field trail events in Queensland, Australia.  My wife Carolyn Cederman breeds and exhibits Irish Setters under the Lanascol prefix.

Judging History

I began my judging career in Queensland in 1987.  I returned to New Zealand from Australia in 1996 and sat and passed my Gundog Championship license in 2006 after 19 years of judging experience.  I have judged Gundog specialty shows in the USA (Pointers & English Setters) plus numerous sporting group appointments. I have judged in 5 states of Australia, on many occasions, including a Labrador Retriever specialty show in Queensland and many Gundog Group Specialty shows. I have also judged a sporting group specialty show in Canada and Pakistan. I have also had the privilege to have judged in Ireland and Israel and the United States on 10 different occasions. Whilst my passion is clearly the Gundog Group I am also licensed to judge all Hounds FCI Group 4 & 6.
