Open Show, Show Ribbon ParadeAbout Me
I have been involved with dogs most of my life.
As a teenager I got my first dog a German Shepherd Dog(SC), he had been trialed with the Dog Section of the NZ Police,
but did not make it through their programme.
The Rottweiler were my next love, after meeting a Rehab Dog in hospital, while recovering from spinal surgery in St.Louis Missouri,USA 1980. I made inquiries of the breed, on my return to New Zealand and bought my first show dog in 1982. I have been involved in the breeding and showing for over 30 years. I have bred and owned many RBISS,BOG & Multi V Rated Rottweilers, BIS & BISS French Bulldogs and BIS & BISS Welsh Corgi Cardigans. I have handled many breeds in various groups through to Champion, Group & Best In Show Winners.
I am currently President of the Horowhenua Kennel Assn, and have been involved on committees of All Breed and Specialist clubs, in all committee positions.
I first joined the Aspiring Judges programme in 1998, that had to be put on hold due to a work transfer to the USA in 2000. On returning home in 2006, I rekindled my interest in showing dogs, rejoined the aspiring panel in 2008, passed my Ribbon Parade exams in 2010. Further exams in 2012 was promoted to the Open Panel.
I have judged in most North Island centers, Blenheim, Christchurch and Nelson.
Through my dogs, committee work, stewarding and judging I have been privileged to meet some wonderful people and judge some beautiful dogs.
