Recognised Breeds

There are 221 breeds of dog as recognised by the New Zealand Kennel Club and these breeds are categorised within seven breed groups. For each breed group, we provide information about the breed's history, temperament, behaviour, upkeep, official breed standard, breeders ( if available ) and clubs.
